As founder and managing member of TOD, Dena Ford-Francis is an accomplished executive in Information Systems Management, dedicated to helping customers maximize productivity through the use of technology. She has the unique combination of extensive systems life cycle and consulting experience acquired from working with commercial and government organizations. Dena has vast knowledge in Information Systems development activities, including, preliminary investigation and project planning, problem analysis, requirement analysis, decision analysis, design, construction, implementation, and operations and support. She has lead both functional and technical senior teams and collaborated with vendors and organizational leaders to deliver business solutions, IT products, and services for companies such as General Electric Information Services, the Tandy Corporation, and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida (Medicare subsidiary).
Dena's technology career spans over 27 years. In 1996 Dena received an Award of Excellence for excellent service in the devotion of time and effort to the cause of the Duval County Clerk of the Circuit Court and County Courts for her leadership in implementing mission critical Information Systems. She was appointed by the Clerk of Court, Jacksonville, Florida, to lead the Systems Management Department's IT implementations for several years.
Dena holds a MBA degree from Nova Southeastern University and a BS degree from the University of Florida. Dena's education prepared the foundation for her expertise in business and information Systems. She remains current in the industry because of her continued education at Nova Southeastern University, participation in networking events sponsored by local, state, and federal business associations, and IT industry leaders such as Dell, Inc. and Microsoft ,Corp. She has taught Project Management, Operating Systems, and Systems Analysis and Design to undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Phoenix, Jacksonville, Florida campus; and Office Productivity courses at Florida Technical College in Jacksonville, Florida. Dena is also experienced and educated in computer networking.
